Love it.. So happy to have discovered this gem – only 3 hours from Winnipeg. This resort has something for everyone.. Nature, golf, swimming pool, spa, kids play areas, fireplaces in rooms (main lodge), cabin rentals, nearby trail rides, lots of hiking/biking trails, walking distance to Wasagaming (marina and beach) where you’ll find lots of cute shops and eateries, park and beach, mini golf, tennis, watercraft rentals, a lake cruise, the largest log cabin theatre in North America, ….. great for a family vacation or romantic rustic getaway.

We want to express our sincerest thanks to this resort for the kindness and generosity they extended to our family of 5 when we found ourselves displaced the other night after a fire at our home in Onanole after midnight. Despite there being more of us than the room available would typically allow for and also having our small family dog who we had no alternate care for, they waived the occupancy and pet policy and took us all in for the night for which we are very grateful. On check-out the next morning I was told that Chris Phillips, the General Manager would like to speak with me. He offered his condolences for the situation we were in and stated that he was waving the room charge for the night and extended the invitation for more nights at no cost should we need until we could get settled again. Fortunately, thanks to the quick actions of the amazing community emergency response team that night we had the best possible outcome. Our house was spared and damage was contained to the crawl space of our home so we were able to go back home the next day. Although we were in a situation that did not allow for us to take the time to enjoy the great amenities the resort has to offer, I can say that our room was very nice – clean, comfortable, large and modern. More importantly though, the resort is managed by kind and compassionate individuals who truly care about others. Thank you Elkhorn Resort for your kindness!!

Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre is the SINGLE GREATEST family getaway place in Manitoba right now. Not only are their staff exceptional (friendly, helpful and just the greatest bunch of people you’ll ever meet!) but they’ve also opened up a brand new indoor pool complex that is really quite stunning! In addition to all of the fun they’ve built into the inside pool & hot tub area, they’ve also got a huge deck immediately outdoors from the pool with another hot tub for you to sit under the falling snow with. In addition… they’ve got a private outdoor ice rink for hotel guests, an awesome hill to go sliding on (and they’ve got complimentary sleds at the front desk!), riding stables for the really adventurous types, cross country ski trails, snowshoeing, and of course they’ve got an exceptional spa that people travel from all over for. AND, if you want to go dog sledding, they can arrange that too! Elkhorn Resort (nestled right against Riding Mountain National Park), in my opinion, is truly the ultimate winter getaway for families with kids (especially since they’ve opened this awesome pool!). So much to do inside and outside, great food, and just an awesome experience!

Everyone was very friendly and the service was excellent including the Housekeeping service, waitresses, waiters, and front desk! Treated awesomely at the Spa and left feeling like a new person in spirit and mind! Spent 4 days over the Christmas holidays, and the buffet was worth going alone! Enjoyed it so much had to have another 4 days in February with a room discount which made it possible to return so a huge thank you!! There is only one thing that could spark up the narrow corridors is getting rid of the old worn out carpets and fresh coat of paint…it’s a suggestion and not really a complaint. I’d recommend anyone who wants to be pampered of pamper someone special….. Try it out, you’ll enjoy!

We got engaged here in 2013. Then we had our wedding here in 2014 and it was wonderful, Kim Armstrong made sure it went off without a hitch. Now we came out for our first anniversary and Stephanie Picard gave us a great deal on a beautiful room! When we got here, there was a bottle of bubbly chilling with two glasses and a sign saying Happy 1st Anniversary plus a certificate to use the spa pool and have lunch in the spa. We were definitely treated well and love it here. We will always refer people and we will be back for our next anniversary. Thank you again to everyone who helped make our time here special.
